NEW TRAIL CONSTRUCTION: We’re getting to the end of the construction of the new trail at Swatara Park. I would like to thank last Sunday’s crew – Brian Despot, Nicole Sheetz, Matt McElheny, Desiree McElheny, Terry Resanovich, and Andrea Strubhar for all of their help and support.

Note: The image at the right  illustrates loop 6’s construction progress:

Green = trail to be built

Green w/orange highlight = finished trail

UPCOMING TRAIL BUILD DATES

WHEN:  October  25 (Sunday)

                                      November 1 and 8 (Sundays)

TIME:  9 am till noon.

PLACE: Swatara State Park trail head at the end of State Park Lane

WHAT TO BRING: water and I recommend long pants, sturdy boots, and work gloves.

TOOLS: As always I will bring the SAMBA’s tool stash to get the job done!

If possible let me know if you can make it to the workday. Thanks!

Kiosk: A big thanks goes out to Darryl Bush and Mike Carnegie for staining the kiosk parts. Next is the assembly and then installation. If you would like to help with the assembly Darryl and Mike will be working on it Wednesday (9-21-09). Let me now if you are interested and I will send you the details.
