At 10 a.m. Brad D, Andrea S, and I met at the Cornwall rail trail parking lot for a quick warm-up in the 27-degree air. We soon met up with Bill Gentile and few others. After a quick spin up through the Gretna Village we hit the trails. The trail highlights where trail #4 (downhill!) to the challenging trail #15 (my favorite new trail) then on to trail 13 (an old favorite). Finally onto 5 and then back on the rail trail back to the vehicle. It wasn’t an epic, but it was fun! There will be many more rides in 09 so stay tuned! HAPPY NEW YEAR! |

Hi everyone,
I want to thank you all for helping out at Governor Dick on June 7th National Trails Day. Once again another wonderful show of support by 21 volunteers from the Susquehanna Area Mountain Bike Association (SAMBA), Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS), Climbnasium, and the Elizabethtown Venture Crew 51 and supporters of Governor Dick. Personally, I would like to thank: Brian Arnold, Andrea Strubbar, Matt McElheny, Brad Ditzler, Adam Reed, Justin Rummel, Bob Ardner, Seth Derr, Justin Wie??, Sean Cornwall, Travis Garlt, Joseph Clark, Meredith Clarke, Brian Leap, Rick Richards, Elliot Clark??, Harry Rhodes, Joe Dellagnila, Michael DiPietro. Hi everyone,
June 7th 2008 is National Trails Day which is the signature event inspired by The American Hiking Society. They too seek to inspire the public and trail enthusiasts to discover, learn about and celebrate trails. In conjunction with Eastern Mountain Sports, a corporate sponsor of The American Hiking Society, we would like to promote an event which will include instructional work shops, trail work projects, and of course hiking and having fun! |
