Spring Turkey starts this Saturday, April 24th with the mentored youth program Regular Spring Turkey season runs from May 1 - May 31. The hunting is limited to the mornings until noon. We ask that you please limit Saturday riding to the pm hours. The Hunters wait all year for this season and staying out of the woods will go a long way to keep the BSA-SAMBA-Hammer Creek Hunt Club relationship strong. SAMBA Matt Myers-Trail Coordinator J. Big thanks to Jeff Weaver, Brad Doxtater, Gary Biscelli, Todd Bomberger, Zach Bomberger, Brian Arnold, Andera Strubhar and Doug Freas. This past weekend they helped complete the final phase of North Valley, installed a new sign on the west end of Explorer Lodge and installed the other NO HORSE signs surrounding the horseshoe trail. The first official release of the updated J. Edward Mack updated map. It has been about a year since Michael Newman (http://www.thenewmans.us/) contacted SAMBA about creating a real map for Camp Mack. Michael is a scout parent and resident GIS expert at a local firm and in general a great guy. With a combination of information sources, Michael created a draft map and then through review with Gary Guare and Matt Myers has created an accurate representation of the camp. SAMBA can't thank Michael enough for the many hours he donated to this cause. |
